This week was one of the biggest weeks in the run up to the 2014 General Elections. Lets take a look at the top political events this week.

1) The riots in Muzaffarnagar tore apart Uttar Pradesh leaving 43 dead and over 90 injured. Meanwhile, as soon as our honourable Prime Minister, Dr.Manmohan Singh called for peace condemning the incidents, the riots paused to a ROFL mode. Seizing upon the opportunity, the administration has requested Dr. Singh to record a ten minute presentation in his inimitable style with minimal variation of pitch and tone, which can be played out all over riot affected areas. “If he can end his spiel with ‘theek hai’ that would be icing on the cake,” said Muzaffarnagar DIG, DD Mishra.

2) It was a hectic Wednesday and Thursday as top BJP leaders tried hard to convince LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj on the appointment of Narendra Modi. Seeing the excessive use of petrol by the BJP leaders, the UPA government hiked petrol by 1.63 Rs. Poor Advani Ji was forced to see finding ‘Nemo’ on HBO and even that did not work. After all this hectic confusion, Modi was declared as the PM candidate of the BJP late on Friday and he immediately trolled Shashi Tharoor by asking him to say ‘onam’ quickly ten times. Onamonamonamonam..er.

3) To counter China and Pakistan’s repeated incursion attempts in India, Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sushil Kumar Shinde devised a plan to send the chinks back. 10,000 pirated copies of Chennai Express and Himmatwala were smuggled into Karachi and Islamabad. Seeing the threat, the forces retreated and everything abhi ‘theek hai’

4) To counter the Supreme Court verdict that the CBI is a caged parrot, the CBI is off to find the Government’s Biggest Enemy- Any guesses? Yes, it is Arnab Goswami. The nation wants an answer- Where is Arnab Goswami?
A few people in Delhi have also complained that they will have to change their TV set while had no volume because without Arnab’s screaming, they cant hear anything.
